Highlight Brands Opens Bukchon Flagship Store for Kodak Apparel
Highlight Brands announced on August 21 that it recently opened the flagship store "Kodak Seoul House" for Kodak Apparel in Bukchon, Seoul.
Kodak Seoul House, which opened on August 11, is the fifth flagship store in Seoul following locations in Seongsu, Myeong-dong, Hongdae, and Gwangjang Market. The store occupies three floors from the basement to the second floor above ground, with a total floor area of approximately 307 square meters.
Kodak Apparel, launched in Korea by Highlight Brands in 2020, achieved sales growth from 13.2 billion won in its first year to 104.4 billion won in 2025, marking a 7.9-fold increase. The brand currently operates a total of 122 offline stores in Korea.
The brand is also expanding into overseas markets. Focusing on China, Kodak Apparel has broadened its business to Macau, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Australia, securing a total of 25 overseas stores as of this month. The company plans to further expand its regular stores in the second half of the year.
Highlight Brands has reinterpreted the unique heritage of Kodak—a global film and imaging company known for photography, color, and travel—to suit domestic consumer preferences as a fashion and lifestyle brand called Kodak Apparel. The product categories have been expanded from clothing to include footwear, hats, and accessories. The company has also grown the brand's scale by integrating product planning, marketing, and both online and offline distribution.
Highlight Brands has built a diverse brand portfolio, including not only Kodak Apparel but also brands such as Malbon Golf, Sierra Designs, Diadora, DOD, and Kirsh. The company differentiates between core and growth brands according to each brand’s development stage, repeating a proven brand nurturing framework for new and emerging labels to expand its portfolio. In 2025, Highlight Brands recorded 284 billion won in sales, 37 billion won in operating profit, and an operating margin of 13.0%. Revenue has continued to grow each year, rising from 172.2 billion won in 2022.
