Employees Participate in Charity Marathon for Second Year
Carrying On the Patriotic Spirit of Independence Activist Namjeo Lee Woosik
Hansae Co., Ltd. announced on the 20th that its employees participated in and completed the “2026 815 Run,” a charity marathon organized by Habitat for Humanity Korea, in commemoration of the 81st anniversary of Korea’s liberation.
The “815 Run” is a representative charity marathon project that has been held annually since 2020 to commemorate National Liberation Day and to support housing improvement projects for the descendants of national independence patriots. As they did last year, Hansae Co., Ltd. not only donated this year but also had employees directly participate in the run.
Hansae Co., Ltd. explained that there is special significance in this event as it carries on the legacy of “national defense and sacrifice” that has continued for generations. Namjeo Lee Woosik, the maternal grandfather of Hansae YES24 Holdings Chairman Kim Dongnyeong and great-great-grandfather of Hansae Co., Ltd. Vice Chairman Kim Ikhwan, is known as a leading independence activist. During the Japanese colonial period, he provided financial support for the Provisional Government in Shanghai through Baeksan Trading Company and was responsible for the funding of the compilation of the Korean Dictionary.
