According to netizens who uploaded the video, the woman began using her mobile device with the screen brightness at its maximum about 30 minutes before the nearly 3-hour-long movie ended.
She then loudly muttered to herself in Chinese and made heavy breathing noises, disturbing the nearby audience members.
When one audience member protested, asking her to refrain from using the mobile phone, the woman allegedly pointed her finger and responded in broken Korean, saying, "I will report you to the police."
Some moviegoers were unable to tolerate her inconsiderate behavior, openly expressing their displeasure and even leaving the theater during the screening.
The released video shows the Chinese woman wearing glasses having a heated argument with a man who protested her behavior in the theater aisle. She shouted loudly and pointed at the man, reaching out her hand toward him. Other members of the audience remained seated, watching the situation unfold.
