The Preparation Committee for the Opening of the Serious Crime Investigation Agency under the Ministry of the Interior and Safety accepted applications for special appointments from prosecutors and investigators affiliated with the Prosecutors’ Office from August 7 to 6:00 p.m. on August 20.
The total number of applicants for special appointments came to 2,375, which accounts for 82.6% of the SCIA's authorized personnel quota of 2,874.
Based on the submitted applications, the committee will select candidates for special appointments to the SCIA next month—taking into account preferences for work location, experience, and expertise—with official appointments made to coincide with the agency’s inauguration date.
Any unfilled positions will be addressed through additional special appointments for prosecutors and staff belonging to the new Public Prosecution Office, in accordance with Article 4, Paragraph 2 of the Supplementary Provisions of the Act on Organization and Operation of the SCIA, considering future adjustments to the Prosecutors’ Office’s staffing based on the structure of the new Public Prosecution Office.
Furthermore, additional positions will be filled through open competitive recruitment targeting police officers, lawyers, accountants, as well as experts in cyber technology and financial analysis.
