Thanks to these results, he earned a spot in the Donga Membership Group Open and demonstrated the caliber of a second-tier tour powerhouse. He caught five birdies just on the front nine to surge into the lead, and at the par-5 first hole, he reached the green with his second shot and then holed an impressive 19-meter putt for an eagle.
Jaehoon Jung returned to competition in June last year after being sidelined for about nine months due to a wrist injury. He also delivered a solid performance at the KPGA Founders Cup regular tour in May, finishing tied for 37th. Jung commented with a big smile, "My goal for this tournament was simply to make the cut. My iron shots were solid, so I was able to play without any major difficulties."
