Zinus Adds 'Medium Hard' Option to New Haven Hybrid Mattress Lineup
Expanded New Haven Lineup to Two Types
Zinus, a furniture and mattress company under Hyundai Department Store Group, announced on August 20 that it has added a medium hard type to its 'New Haven Hybrid Mattress' lineup.
The New Haven Hybrid Mattress is a premium mattress from Zinus, launched in May last year. Until now, only a hard type was available, but the medium hard type has now been added. New Haven is Zinus's flagship product that uses natural materials, including adaptive fabric from Belgium's Bekaert—designed to regulate moisture evaporation according to ambient and body temperature—and Australian Merino wool padding.
The medium hard type features a modified upper structure for a softer feel when lying down. It incorporates dual layers of functional memory foam in the same position, with fiber padding applied to the surface. In addition, the high-density foam below has been replaced with a softer variant than that used in the hard type.
The support structure beneath the mattress remains the same as the hard type. It features ultra-high elasticity eight-turn springs with a thickness of 2.3 mm, edge support foam to prevent sagging along the borders, and a seven-zone pressure distribution system providing varied support strengths for different body parts, ensuring that the sleeper’s body does not sink excessively.
The medium hard type is available in three sizes: Super Single, Queen, and Large King. The retail prices are KRW 1,886,000 for Super Single, KRW 2,277,000 for Queen, and KRW 2,668,000 for Large King. Customers can purchase them at more than 30 Zinus stores nationwide and through the Zinus online mall.
