Taesung Records KRW 180 Billion in Cumulative Orders This Year..."High-End Substrate Growth"
Taesung has recorded a cumulative order amount of approximately KRW 180 billion so far this year.
According to Taesung on August 20, if ongoing negotiations for additional equipment supply are confirmed sequentially, the company expects the cumulative order amount to surpass KRW 200 billion by the end of this month. As it takes time from equipment orders to manufacturing, delivery, and revenue recognition, the secured order volume is expected to positively impact not only this year's performance but also next year's growth.
Taesung notes that the recent increase in orders is not merely due to a temporary expansion in orders, but is also linked to structural changes in the global semiconductor industry. For example, Taesung has started supplying PCB automation equipment to the global high-spec PCB and IC substrate manufacturer AT&S, and is also in discussions for further supplies. In addition to continuous orders from existing clients, the customer base is expanding to global advanced substrate companies, increasing opportunities for additional orders in the future.
The company has also established a production base to respond to the growing volume of orders. Taesung recently completed the construction of its new factory in Cheonan, relocated its headquarters, and has entered full-scale production operations. With the expanded production capacity, the company plans to accelerate the production and delivery of secured order volumes and proactively address additional equipment demands from both domestic and overseas clients going forward.
If the performance of the glass substrate equipment business is added, overall growth is expected to accelerate even further. Taesung has secured various automation process equipment technologies applicable to glass substrate manufacturing and is continuing to collaborate on technology development and practical process implementation with the Korea Ceramic Technology Institute and domestic and global clients.

Kim Jonghak, CEO of Taesung, said, "This year, steady orders from domestic and overseas clients have resulted in cumulative orders of about KRW 180 billion, mainly for PCB automation equipment, which is translating into tangible sales growth. We are also in concrete discussions with domestic and overseas clients regarding glass substrate equipment, and we expect order intake to materialize within the year. Once these begin to contribute to sales in earnest, together with our core PCB equipment business, the company’s growth will be elevated to the next level."
