BC Card Allows Up to 6-Month Payment Deferral for Customers Affected by Torrential Rains
IBK Industrial Bank of Korea, iM Bank, BNK Busan Bank, BNK Kyongnam Bank, Standard Chartered Korea, and BC Baro Card participate
BC Card announced on the 19th that it will provide financial support to customers and merchants affected by the recent torrential rains, primarily in the southern region.
A total of six member companies will participate in this financial support initiative: IBK Industrial Bank of Korea, iM Bank, BNK Busan Bank, BNK Kyongnam Bank, Standard Chartered Korea, and BC Baro Card.
The support is available to BC Card individual customers and merchants who have received a “Certificate of Damage” issued by administrative offices in areas affected by the torrential rains.
Eligible customers can defer payment of their domestic card charges—including lump-sum payments, installment plans, and short-term card loans (cash advances)—for up to six months. However, taxes such as national and local taxes and pre-paid amounts are excluded from this program.
Applications can be made through the BC Card call center from August 24 through September 18. After obtaining the Certificate of Damage, customers can apply via the call center and submit the required documents; support will be provided following approval by the participating member companies.
