"Champions City Phase 1" Brings Nature Closer with Design Maximizing Light, Views, and Openness
Three-Sided Balconies, LDK Panoramic Views, Panoramic Windows, and Cross Terraces
Seamlessly Connecting Indoors and Nature... Enhancing Premium Residential Value
Recently, in the housing market, a comfortable living environment has emerged as a new source of premium competitiveness. As a result, consumers are showing great interest in eco-friendly designs that bring nature indoors through features such as large windows and terraces.
Particularly, residential complexes applying such designs are establishing themselves as key differentiators of premium housing, as they enhance openness and natural light, as well as privacy and overall residential satisfaction.
For example, "Acro Seoul Forest" in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul has been evaluated as one of Korea’s leading premium residential complexes, by creating a unique living environment that offers simultaneous views of Seoul Forest and the Han River through features like “art frame” windows with removed central frames, 270-degree panoramic views, and green balconies.
As the expectations of consumers continue to rise, demand is increasingly concentrated on high-end residential complexes that break away from conventional designs and instead offer rare spatial configurations and distinct product qualities.
In line with these trends, the first phase of “Champions City,” scheduled to be offered for sale in September, will introduce a specialized design featuring three-sided balconies, an LDK panoramic view, panoramic windows, and cross terraces, creating living spaces that invite nature inside the home.
The complex will first apply the three-sided balcony specialized design (except for certain units) and, through the LDK panoramic view, has implemented a spacious area of up to approximately 9 meters. Panoramic windows allow for broader and more refreshing views of surrounding natural scenery, such as Mudeungsan Mountain and the Gwangju Stream (in certain units), even from inside.
Additionally, some units feature cross terraces that naturally connect interior spaces with nature. In particular, major living spaces such as the living room, dining area, and master bedroom have been planned to allow for seamless expansion, enabling residents to enjoy the outdoors more closely from within their homes. The terrace spaces are categorized as the panorama living terrace, family dining terrace, secret garden terrace, and master bedroom serenity terrace, each designed to provide a premium space for relaxation, communication, healing, and private life.
A representative from the Champions City sales team stated, "We focused on designing living spaces that go beyond merely being places to stay, so that nature becomes part of daily life." They added, "Our goal was to create an environment where residents can naturally experience the changing seasons and a sense of relaxation from within their homes."
The first phase of “Champions City” will be constructed by Woobang Construction and Shinyoung C&D. It will consist of 12 buildings ranging from three basement levels to 49 above-ground floors, offering 3,216 units with exclusive floor areas ranging from 84 to 214 square meters. Of the total, approximately 2,534 units—or about 79%—will feature the 84-square-meter exclusive floor area, which is highly preferred by end-users.
In addition to bringing nature into daily life, the complex incorporates a variety of specialized design features to elevate the residential culture. Notably, the spatial planning was developed with Professor Jeong Jae-seung of KAIST and MindBrick, integrating concepts from neuro-architecture. This design approach emphasizes enhancing residents’ psychological stability and family bonds by considering how spaces and environments affect human emotions and behaviors.
Residents can customize their living spaces flexibly to match their lifestyles, thanks to a total of 24 layout types and variable design options. Depending on the type, up to 54.39 square meters of additional space (based on the 84-square-meter exclusive unit) can be secured, further maximizing spatial utility.
The integrated community facilities, the largest in Gwangju, are also a highlight that will enrich daily leisure. Major amenities will include an indoor golf practice facility with screen golf and a 20-meter approach range, an indoor swimming pool, a multipurpose indoor gymnasium, a fitness center, a GX room, and a Pilates room. The 44th-floor sky community will offer specialized facilities such as a sky lounge and sky guesthouse. In addition, a private dining room, sauna, tea house, premium pet garden, and various lifestyle amenities supporting daily life, hobbies, and relaxation will also be created.
