30,000th Verified Couple Receives Gold Bar Gift
KakaoPay Securities announced on the 19th that the number of verified marriage participants in its campaign, "In Korea 2026, Married Couples Receive Stocks," surpassed 30,000 in the first week of this month, just two weeks after the campaign was launched.
The campaign grants domestic stocks worth 50,000 won per person, up to a maximum of 100,000 won per household, to couples who register their marriage and verify it within this year. The initiative is designed to celebrate the new beginning of marriage with stocks and to encourage couples to grow their assets together.

KakaoPay Securities believes that this attempt to merge customary cash gifts with stock gifts resonates with newlyweds who are starting to build their assets.
Participants in the campaign ranged in age from their 20s to 60s. Those in their 30s accounted for the majority at 71.7%, followed by people in their 20s (23.9%) and 40s (4.2%). Notably, 37% of applicants did not have a KakaoPay Securities account, indicating that the pool of participants has expanded beyond existing users.
On August 12, Shinho Chul, CEO of KakaoPay Securities, personally met the 30,000th marriage verification customer and presented a congratulatory message along with a 3.75g gold bar. The recipients were a couple in their 30s living in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, who registered their marriage in March. They stated, "Receiving a wedding gift in stocks was already a unique experience, and being chosen as the 30,000th couple was even more meaningful. We had so many expenses setting up our new home that investing felt out of reach, so these stocks have become our very first nest egg as a couple."
The deadline to apply and submit marriage certification documents for the campaign is January 10, 2027. Applicants can receive and upload a marriage certificate via KakaoTalk Wallet without the need to open a new account. KakaoPay Securities plans to sequentially launch campaigns to celebrate various life milestones—such as childbirth and employment—by gifting stocks.
