View original imageThe Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association announced on August 18 that it is delivering emergency relief supplies to assist the victims of landslides caused by recent heavy rain in Geoje, Gyeongnam.
Hope Bridge urgently delivered relief items for those staying in temporary shelters, with support from SK hynix, Korea Land & Housing Corporation, KB Kookmin Bank, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Development Corporation, BGF Retail, and Lotte Mart. The supplies included 336 emergency relief kits, 100 shelters and floor mats for temporary housing facilities, 13,440 bottles of drinking water, and 5,732 packs of snacks.
Shin Hoon, Secretary-General of Hope Bridge, said, “We quickly delivered relief supplies to alleviate the inconvenience of residents staying in shelters due to the unprecedented extreme rainfall. We will continue to provide necessary resources in cooperation with local governments and sponsoring companies to help disaster victims resume their daily lives, which have been interrupted by the flooding.”
