KIC Employees Carry Out Medical Volunteer Work in Kazakhstan
Executives and employees of Korea Investment Corporation (KIC), the sovereign wealth fund, participated in a medical volunteer activity in Kazakhstan.
On August 18, KIC announced that, from August 11 to 16, its staff carried out medical volunteer work in collaboration with the private medical volunteer organization Open Medical Association in the Talgar region of Almaty Province, Kazakhstan, Central Asia.
KIC employees assisted local medical staff from Open Medical Association’s departments of surgery, dentistry, obstetrics and gynecology, and traditional Korean medicine. They also supported basic public health education for local residents.
Since 2012, Korea Investment Corporation has jointly conducted medical volunteer activities with Open Medical Association each quarter for vulnerable groups and foreign workers in Korea. This year marks the fourth overseas medical volunteer activity since 2019.
