Wando County Launches "2026 Wando Travel, Filled with Healing!" Tourism Photo Contest

Wando County in South Jeolla Province is taking action to promote the diverse, pristine nature and the charm of its leading tourist destinations, as well as to discover innovative, high-quality tourism content.

Wando County announced on the 18th that it is hosting the "2026 Wando Travel, Filled with Healing!" tourism photo contest and is accepting entries from across the country. Anyone who loves Wando and is a Korean national may participate, regardless of age or region.

Eligible entries must be unpublished, original works personally photographed by the entrant in Wando County, featuring its tourism resources after January of the previous year. Submissions may showcase Wando’s beautiful natural scenery, local attractions, culture, festivals, and more.

The contest is divided into two categories: digital camera (including drone photography) and smartphone camera. Participants must complete the entry application and other required documents, and submit them to the designated email address by August 31.

Through judging, the county will select a total of 64 winners and award prizes worth a total of 15 million won. The final winning entries will be announced on Wando County’s website in September, and will be actively used in Wando’s tourism brochures and various promotional marketing materials in the future.

An official from the county stated, "This photo contest is a great opportunity to share beautiful and healing moments experienced while traveling in Wando with many people," and added, "We hope for the active interest and participation of the public so that a wide variety of outstanding works capturing Wando’s hidden charms can be submitted."
