World No. 2 Gino Tettikunn (Thailand) has returned to his former self.

On August 17 (KST), at the Columbia Edgewater Country Club (par 72) in Portland, Oregon, USA, he claimed his third win of the season and the 10th victory of his career at the LPGA Tour Standard Portland Classic (total prize money: 2 million dollars). It was his first victory in three months since the Mizuho Americas Open in May. He took home the winner's prize of 300,000 dollars (approximately 423 million KRW).

Tettikunn’s performance on the final day of the tournament was particularly impressive. He carded one eagle and eight birdies (with two bogeys), shooting an 8-under-par 64. By recapturing his prime form, he has set his sights on regaining the No. 1 ranking.

Both his tee shots and putting stood out. On the final day, his average driving distance was 286 yards. He used a Callaway Triple Diamond driver (9 degrees), a club highly regarded for its distance and forgiveness.
