VIVOZON Pharmaceutical announced on the 18th that the second-quarter sales of its non-narcotic analgesic 'Enafraju' reached approximately 2 billion won, marking a 229% increase compared to the previous quarter.
According to VIVOZON Pharmaceutical, sales of Enafraju rose from about 300 million won in April to 700 million won in May, and 1 billion won in June. In June, monthly sales surpassed 1 billion won for the first time since the product was launched in October of last year.
VIVOZON Pharmaceutical is expanding distribution, focusing on major general hospitals such as Samsung Medical Center and Shinchon Severance Hospital. The company is also widening the prescription base by expanding Drug Committee (DC) reviews to include not only general hospitals but also hospitals with fewer than 300 beds.
With the increase in sales, the company recently placed an additional order for approximately 120,000 vials. Production is being handled by its existing manufacturing partner, Huiyu Pharmaceutical of China.
The company is also promoting global commercialization. Its affiliate, VIVOZON, is expanding patents related to the high-concentration injectable formulation of Enafra, and has recently received a patent registration decision from the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO). Preparations are underway for a Phase 3 clinical trial in the United States using this formulation, and clinical drug manufacturing for these trials has begun through a global contract manufacturer.
