Mercedes-Benz Korea Launches Flagship 'The New S-Class' Starting at 154 Million Won

Mercedes-Benz Korea is accelerating its push into the domestic large luxury sedan market by unveiling a facelifted version of its flagship sedan, the S-Class.
On August 18, Mercedes-Benz Korea announced the official launch of 'The New Mercedes-Benz S-Class' and 'The New Mercedes-Maybach S-Class', with customer deliveries set to begin gradually from this weekend.
Since pre-orders began on May 18, the models have accumulated a total of over 2,500 contracts in about three months.
The New S-Class has improved its product lineup by newly developing or upgrading more than 50% of the vehicle's components. Both models feature the latest MBUX system based on Mercedes-Benz's integrated vehicle operating system, MB.OS, seamlessly connecting assisted driving and infotainment functions. Reflecting the preferences of Korean customers, the vehicles also provide tailored digital services such as Tmap Auto navigation, LG Uplus Live TV+, Genie Music, and Millie's Library audiobooks, along with cutting-edge assisted driving technology, MB.Drive Assist.
The New Mercedes-Benz S-Class is available in a total of six variants, including four long wheelbase models and two standard wheelbase models. The detailed lineup consists of the S 350 d 4MATIC, S 450 4MATIC, S 450 4MATIC Long Exclusive, S 450 4MATIC Long AMG Line, S 500 4MATIC Long, and S 580 4MATIC Long. Prices range from 154 million won to 270 million won, including value-added tax (VAT). Additionally, two launch editions—the 'AMG Line Plus Edition' and the 'Sparkling Black Edition'—will each be limited to 140 units.
The New Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is offered in three variants: Maybach S 580, Maybach S 580 Manufaktur, and Maybach S 680. The retail prices, including VAT, range from 317 million won to 407 million won.
