Korea SMEs and Startups Agency Eases Logistics Burden for SMEs by Leveraging Global Logistics Hubs
Recruitment of SMEs for Online Export Logistics Support Program
The Korea SMEs and Startups Agency announced on the 18th that the application deadline for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) wishing to participate in the online export logistics support program for SMEs has been extended until the 21st.
This program provides support for fulfillment services and the use of logistics centers at major global hubs operated by Busan Port Authority to small and medium-sized exporters who are either already engaged in or planning to engage in online exports.
First, if a company uses fulfillment services—covering everything from warehousing, shipping, picking and packing, to final local delivery via a private logistics provider—a portion of the cost will be subsidized. Companies that utilize the logistics bases of 14 designated logistics agencies specified by the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, or those that use the fulfillment services of global platforms, are eligible for reimbursement of related costs after service provision. Notably, this year, more than 100 extensive logistics hubs can be leveraged through designated agencies, with 49 locations in Korea and 56 locations across 16 overseas countries.
Additionally, if companies need to store products at major global logistics centers operated by the Busan Port Authority or require local delivery from overseas hubs, a portion of the corresponding costs will also be subsidized for selected companies.
