Nol Universe to Develop "Travel-Specialized AI Agent" in Partnership with National Information Society Agency
"AI Agent Development to Be Completed Within This Year"
Nol Universe will develop a "travel domain-specialized artificial intelligence (AI) agent" and dedicated tools with government support.
On August 18, Nol Universe announced that it had been selected as an executing company for the "Development and Promotion Support Project for High-Demand, User-Perceived Representative AI Agents and Agent Tools," organized by the Ministry of Science and ICT and overseen by the National Information Society Agency (NIA).
The project size is approximately 5.1 billion won, combining government funding and private sector contributions. The goal is to develop a travel domain-specialized AI agent and eight types of dedicated Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools to provide innovative travel services that the public can tangibly experience. MCP refers to a standard that allows AI to connect with external services or tools and call the necessary functions.
Nol Universe plans to complete development of the AI agent and eight dedicated tools by the end of this year and continuously enhance them until 2031 through a results utilization period.
