Jensen Huang's Eldest Daughter Visits LG's Robotics Hub... Rapid Progress Expected in Physical AI
Visit Following Strategic MOU Between Koo Kwang-mo and Jensen Huang
Robotics Business Expected to Take Center Stage
Madison Huang, Senior Director of Product Marketing for NVIDIA Omniverse and Robotics, and the eldest daughter of Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, is seeking out a core hub for LG Electronics' robotics business.
According to the industry on August 17, Senior Director Huang will visit the data factory being built by LG Electronics at its research and development (R&D) campus in Yangjae, Seocho-gu, Seoul, on the 18th, where she will hold a closed-door meeting with high-ranking executives from the company to discuss a partnership. As this meeting will be held at the data factory, which LG Electronics considers to be a key infrastructure for enhancing humanoid robot intelligence, robotics-related topics are expected to be the primary focus.

In April, she met with President Ryu Jaechul of LG Electronics at the LG Twin Towers in Yeouido, Seoul, to discuss potential collaborations in the physical AI sector. She also accompanied CEO Huang during his visit to Korea in June, attending the 'Samso (Samgyeopsal·Soju) gathering' with several leaders of major Korean companies.
This latest meeting is especially noteworthy as it comes only a few days after Senior Director Huang's father, CEO Huang, and Koo Kwang-mo, Chairman of LG Group, met at NVIDIA headquarters in the United States to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for strategic business cooperation. As such, collaboration between the two companies is expected to accelerate. At that time, the leaders of both sides signed an MOU to jointly target the physical artificial intelligence (AI) market, focusing on robotics, AI factories, and future mobility as the three main pillars of the partnership.
Under this MOU, LG Electronics is developing a bipedal humanoid robot based on the NVIDIA platform, with the goal of unveiling it in the first quarter of next year. This robot will be equipped with NVIDIA's robotics chip module, 'Jetson Thor.' It is also expected to be developed using NVIDIA's humanoid foundation model 'Isaac Groot' and the 'Halos for Robotics' safety system.
