Dunamu Posts 23.5 Billion Won Operating Profit in Q2, Down 84.6% Year-on-Year

Dunamu, which operates the virtual asset exchange Upbit, announced that its revenue for the second quarter of this year amounted to 173.5 billion won, with an operating profit of 23.5 billion won. Compared to the same period last year, these figures represent declines of 39.3% and 84.6%, respectively. Net profit decreased by 60% year-on-year, from 97.6 billion won to 39 billion won.
A Dunamu representative explained, "The drop in performance this quarter was impacted by weakened investor sentiment due to contraction in liquidity throughout the global virtual asset market."

On a consolidated basis, revenue for the first half of this year was 408.1 billion won, with operating profit at 111.5 billion won. These figures represent year-on-year decreases of 49.1% and 79.7%, respectively. Net profit also fell by 74.1%, from 418.2 billion won in the same period last year to 108.4 billion won.
