Netmarble to Participate in Tokyo Game Show for Second Consecutive Year, Targeting Japan with Three New Titles
First Reveal of Subculture Collectible RPG "Pearl in Blue"
Netmarble will participate in the global gaming exhibition "Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2026," which will be held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, from September 17 to 21.
Participating in the Tokyo Game Show for the second consecutive year, Netmarble is aiming to generate buzz with three new titles. The lineup will include the first-ever game adaptation of a popular Japanese intellectual property (IP) and a new original story unveiled for the first time.
"Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Ultimate Species" is a mobile and PC tag-switching collectible role-playing game (RPG) based on the hit IP "Shangri-La Frontier," which has amassed one billion views in Japan. As the first game adaptation of the "Shangri-La Frontier" IP, the game faithfully recreates key elements from the original, including the world and characters players explore within the game and unique monster raids.
With the goal of releasing "Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Ultimate Species" in Japan in the second half of this year, Netmarble plans to present the game directly to local users at Tokyo Game Show and to initiate on-site marketing efforts.
"Solo Leveling: Karma," currently in development for the mobile platform, is a roguelite action RPG based on the globally popular IP and anime "Solo Leveling." This game features the story of "Sung Jinwoo," who, after using the "Cup of Reincarnation," returns to the past and fights in the Monarchs’ War for 27 years in the dimensional rift—an arc not detailed in the original series.
Having already achieved commercial success with another game adaptation—"Solo Leveling: Arise"—based on the same IP, Netmarble aims to continue its achievements, this time by expanding into the roguelite action RPG genre.
"Pearl in Blue" will be unveiled for the first time at this year’s Tokyo Game Show. This mobile subculture collectible RPG focuses on emotional narratives, as players connect with girls who each have their own scars. The game features the fun of building a squad of knights who are also influencers, distinctive 2D animated cutscenes, and character interaction content infused with rom-com sensibilities. Visitors will be able to try out "Pearl in Blue" for themselves, experiencing the game’s world through an interactive booth and a variety of activities at the event.
