This initiative was designed to create special memories for families who may lack opportunities for cultural experiences due to financial burdens or health reasons.
On August 7, the “STEP BY STEP 14th Anniversary—Amusement Park Cultural Experience Outing with Korea Zinc” was held at the Lotte World area in Songpa-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by about 60 people, including executives and employees from Korea Zinc and its affiliates—Axis IT, KG Trading, and KZ Precision—as well as single mothers and their children, and members of the Dongbang Social Welfare Foundation.
Korea Zinc organized participants into groups, taking into account the age range of the children and their familiarity with the rides, and assigned employee volunteers to each group. The employees accompanied the children on amusement rides, shared meals with them, took commemorative photos, and generally supported their cultural experience. For rides that required adult accompaniment, employee volunteers joined the children to ensure everyone could participate in a wide variety of experiences.
A representative from Korea Zinc said, “We hope that this cultural experience activity helped strengthen the family bonds of single-mother families and create warm memories together. We will continue to provide a range of support so that single mothers and their children can grow up bright and healthy.”
