The executives of KakaoBank, an internet-only bank, have purchased 21,100 shares of the company.
According to the Financial Supervisory Service’s electronic disclosure system on August 14, twelve KakaoBank executives purchased a total of 21,100 shares through on-exchange trading from June of this year to August 12. The total purchase amount was 464.83 million won.
KakaoBank explained that the executives’ purchase of company shares reflects their confidence in the bank’s potential for mid- to long-term growth and their commitment to responsible management.
In June this year, KakaoBank acquired Mastern Capital, a specialized credit financial company, and is pursuing business diversification, including expansion into auto installment finance.
In particular, KakaoBank aims to reach 100 trillion won in assets by 2027 and achieve a 15% return on equity (ROE) by 2030. The bank plans to diversify its business portfolio across loans, fee·platform, and asset management, while continuing balanced growth in both interest and non-interest income.
