"Connecting the Public and Space"
Communication Expected
YG Entertainment announced on August 14 that the group Big Bang has been appointed as the first promotional ambassador of the Korea Aerospace Administration, which was established in 2024.
The Korea Aerospace Administration plans to utilize Big Bang to promote its aerospace policies and future vision, as well as to expand public participation in related projects.
On this day, the Korea Aerospace Administration stated, "We have appointed Big Bang as a promotional ambassador to create new challenges in Korea’s aerospace sector together with the public," adding, "Through diverse communication activities, we will broaden public interest and participation in aerospace."
Big Bang will also take part in the Korea Aerospace Administration’s public engagement program called 'Dream Capsule.' Beginning at 10:00 a.m. today, a micro website celebrating Big Bang’s 20th anniversary is open to receive fans’ memories and messages from around the world relating to Big Bang.
The collected messages will be transformed into coded images inspired by the 'Arecibo Message.' These will then be launched into space aboard the fifth Nuri rocket. The Korea Aerospace Administration aims to use this program to inform the public about its space development projects and encourage participation.
The group’s name, "Big Bang," which signifies the birth of the universe, aligns with their new role as ambassadors. In celebration of their 20th anniversary, Big Bang will also hold a space-themed world tour.
