On August 13, at Montvert Country Club (par 72) in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province, she carded six birdies and one bogey in the first round of the Mediheal-Korea Daily Championship on the KLPGA Tour, which has a total prize fund of 1.2 billion won. Shooting a five-under-par 67, Seo tied for the lead with No Seunghee and Han Jiwon.

Lee Dayeon, Kim Minju, and Lee Gayoung are tied for fourth, just one shot back at four-under-par 68. Kim Minsol, who has already posted three wins this year and leads in multiple categories including most wins, MVP, prize money, and rookie of the year, shot a three-under-par 69 with five birdies and two bogeys. She is tied for seventh with Ko Jiwon, Jeong Yoonji, and others.

Meanwhile, defending champion Hong Jeongmin withdrew from the tournament on the first day due to back pain. After carding a double bogey on the first hole (par 4), she left the tournament on the green of the second hole (par 4).
