CPSYSTEM's Q2 Operating Profit Surges 166% YoY... "Growth Driven by Chinese Subsidiary, Semiconductor Boom"
CPSYSTEM reported a consolidated operating profit of 1.9 billion won for the second quarter of this year, a 166% increase compared to the same period last year.
According to CPSYSTEM on August 13, its revenue rose by 32% year-on-year to 6.8 billion won, while net profit for the period surged by 512% to 1.8 billion won.
On a half-year basis, consolidated revenue reached 12.1 billion won, up 19% year-on-year, with operating profit and net profit growing by 104% and 224% to 2.4 billion won and 2.9 billion won, respectively.
This earnings growth was driven by the expansion of revenue from the Chinese subsidiary. In the second quarter, revenue from the Chinese subsidiary increased by approximately 74% compared to the previous quarter. In particular, sales to major Chinese semiconductor equipment companies, including NAURA (Beifang Huachang), and CXMT (Changxin Memory Technologies), have increased, leading to tangible results in the local semiconductor market.
CPSYSTEM has been maintaining all-around growth across major upstream industries such as semiconductors, robotics, shipbuilding, and secondary batteries. While continuing to secure a stable sales base in its existing core industries, the company is also witnessing the effect of portfolio diversification as demand expands, especially in growth sectors such as semiconductors and robotics.

A CPSYSTEM official stated, "Sales related to semiconductors are rapidly increasing, particularly centered on the Chinese subsidiary, while stable growth is also being sustained in key upstream industries such as robotics, shipbuilding, and secondary batteries. With domestic and overseas semiconductor manufacturers continuously expanding investments in production facilities, we expect the pace of revenue growth to accelerate further in the second half of this year, especially in the semiconductor sector."
