"Sea Rock" Duo Hanmaeum to Hold Free Autumn Concert
The male duo "Hanmaeum," who gained popularity in the 1980s with hit songs such as "Gaseumari" and "Gaetbawi," will hold a free outdoor concert in Namyangju at the end of this month, member Kang Youngcheol announced on the 13th.
Hanmaeum will host a free concert at 4 p.m. on August 30 at the SoriSo Village outdoor stage in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province.
Kang Youngcheol and Yoo Youngmin have each been active as a singer and songwriter since the 1980s. Kang Youngcheol released songs such as "Gaseumari" and "Gaetbawi" in 1983, while Yoo Youngmin made his debut with the group Budeulpiri and sang songs like "Nooni Keun Ai" and "Jangmi."
The two, who have maintained a close friendship over the years, began performing together as "Hanmaeum" with the release of their full-length album "Greatest Hits" in 2023.
At this upcoming concert, the two will put on a stage encompassing both folk and rock genres, mainly featuring songs they have released so far. Bassist Go Hyomin will also join them.
