Integration with Large Language Models (LLMs) Sets Toss Securities Apart
Toss Securities announced on the 13th that it has launched its official OpenAPI service.
The OpenAPI service is an application programming interface (API) that allows clients to access financial data and functions—such as market quotes, trading, and account information—held by the brokerage firm through programs they have developed themselves or external services. Starting in May, Toss Securities began offering its core OpenAPI functions in phases through an advance registration process, and with this official launch, the service is now available to all clients.
The Toss Securities OpenAPI is notable for enabling both domestic and international stock trading through a single integrated API. While some companies provide separate APIs for domestic and international stocks, Toss Securities allows users to access market data and execute trades in both markets with just one integration.
In particular, Toss Securities supports integration with large language models (LLMs), making it easy for users without coding or development knowledge to utilize the service. When investors connect their issued OpenAPI key to external LLMs such as ChatGPT or Claude, they can perform actual investment activities including orders, trades, and queries simply by entering requests in conversational language in the AI interface, without any need for coding or technical skills. For example, when a user enters a command such as "Buy 10 shares of stock A at market price" in natural language, the AI interprets it and executes the order in real time.
