Meritz Securities Reports First-Half Net Profit of 514 Billion Won, Up 15.9% Year-on-Year
Meritz Securities continued its solid performance growth by recording a net profit exceeding 500 billion won in the first half of this year.
On August 12, Meritz Securities announced that its consolidated operating profit for the first half of this year reached 501.3 billion won, up 11.8% from the same period last year. During the same period, net profit rose 15.9% to 514 billion won.
For the second quarter, the company posted an operating profit of 245.7 billion won and a net profit of 259.7 billion won. While operating profit decreased by 18.2% from 300.3 billion won in the same quarter last year, net profit increased by 1.4% from 256.1 billion won to 259.7 billion won.
Meritz Securities explained that outstanding performance in the asset management and retail divisions drove improvement in its results during the first half. In particular, even amid expanding volatility in financial markets, steady growth in the retail division and the solid performance of the asset management and financial balance sectors supported stable overall growth.
