Nexon Launches PC 'Overwatch' Service in Korea... Unveils New Season 4 Content
Special Rewards for All Users Who Link Their Accounts
Nexon announced on August 12, 2026, that it will begin domestic service for the PC first-person shooter (FPS) game 'Overwatch', developed by Blizzard Entertainment.
Users who have linked their Nexon and Blizzard Battle.net accounts can now play 'Overwatch' not only via the existing Battle.net launcher, but also through Nexon.com and Nexon Plug. All users who complete the account linking process will receive five Legendary Loot Boxes, the 'Nexon Mari' profile card, and three decorative items, including a player icon and title. In addition, users who participated in the account pre-linking campaign by August 11 will be given extra rewards, such as 20 Mythic Prisms and four Legendary Skins from the 'Nexon Legendary Loot Box'.
Nexon and Blizzard have released a wide range of new content through 'Overwatch' Season 4, titled 'Heroes of Busan'. First, they introduced 'D.Mon', the second Korean hero after 'D.Va' and leader of the MEKA Squad. 'D.Mon', a tank hero, pilots the exclusive MEKA unit 'Beast', engaging in primarily close-range combat using a plasma sword and shield. For the existing 'Busan' map, a spring water pavilion and an electronic billboard reflecting Korean atmosphere have been added. Until September 2, users can complete in-game quests to earn voting rights and vote for their favorite MEKA squad hero, unlocking exclusive behind-the-scenes stories.

To celebrate the official launch of PC 'Overwatch' in Korea and the Season 4 update, Nexon is holding a variety of Korea-only events. From August 14 to 19, a prediction event for the 'Overwatch World Cup' (OWWC) will take place. Starting August 20, all participants who predict the outcomes of group matches during the OWWC Busan Group Stage at the Busan e-Sports Arena will receive the 'D.Mon Movie Mate' spray. Depending on prediction accuracy, participants may also receive Legendary and e-sports loot boxes. In addition, Nexon will host a major offline user event, 'Overwatch Day', at BEXCO in Busan for two days starting August 22.
