The Spotlight section examines the ways the domestic industry can enhance its competitiveness in the short drama market, which is led by China. It discusses the utilization of proven intellectual property (IP), establishing a stable production base, introducing artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, and building a virtuous industry ecosystem. The section also features interviews detailing the global expansion strategies of five production companies: WHYNOT Media, Bamboo Network, Studio Shortnaps, Bigleu, and Lezhin Snack.
In the Trend Highlights section, the issue analyzes changes in the media landscape due to the renewed spotlight on "old IP" and the expansion of "celebrity IP." It also introduces policies aimed at attracting overseas video production, based on case studies from Japan, Singapore, and Hungary.
The following People Insight section features PD Lee Jungho of Studio Episode, who discusses the potential for expanding celebrity IP based on his production experience with 'Jo Seungyeon's Exploration Life' and 'Today's Joo Woojae'.
Data Points analyzes global OTT users' consumption and viewing patterns, and the competition for advertising revenue in the second quarter of this year. The Global Market Report summarizes industry trends across six regions worldwide.
