"How Many Gwangju Desserts Have You Tried?"... 13 Dessert Hotspots Gather at Lotte Department Store
"Dessert Marble" with local influencer SugarTokki
Collect stamps for gifts and a chance in the lucky draw
Lotte Department Store Gwangju Branch is teaming up with local influencers to promote dessert hotspots throughout Gwangju and Jeollanam-do.
From August 14 to August 27, Lotte Department Store Gwangju Branch will operate a pop-up store called "Dessert Marble with SugarTokki" at the special store in the basement level B1, in collaboration with local influencer SugarTokki.
This event has been organized in partnership with SugarTokki, who has introduced desserts and popular eateries from the Gwangju and Jeollanam-do region through social media, in order to raise awareness of unique local dessert brands.
The event name "Dessert Marble" signifies the idea of experiencing desserts from various countries in one place, much like a board game where players roll dice and travel around the world.
A total of 13 local brands, carefully selected by Lotte Department Store Gwangju Branch and SugarTokki, will participate in the pop-up to showcase a diverse array of desserts from across the globe.
Key brands include "Preltual," known for its baguettes; "Keju Bakery," specializing in fruit sando; "Assarong," a handcrafted macaron specialist; "Ambers Bakeshop," offering a modern reinterpretation of British desserts; "Choyodang," known for nougat crackers; "Insane Cookie," specializing in handcrafted cookies; and "CAP," a financier specialist, among others.
During the event, visitors can participate in the "Dessert Marble Stamp Tour" by collecting stamps as they purchase desserts. Depending on the number of stamps collected—from one to five—guests can receive instant scratch coupons or gifts such as tiramisu cake.
Those who collect seven or more stamps will be eligible to enter a lucky draw event. The drawing is scheduled to be held on August 27 through SugarTokki's Instagram Live broadcast.
