BTS's 'Swim' Charts on Billboard Hot 100 for 20 Consecutive Weeks
Big Hit Music announced on August 12 that BTS's fifth studio album title track "Swim" has remained on the main Billboard singles chart, the "Hot 100," for 20 consecutive weeks. This matches the record set by "Butter," which was released in 2021.
According to the latest chart (dated August 15) announced by Billboard on August 11 (local time), "Swim" ranked 91st on the "Hot 100." The song first debuted at number one on the chart dated April 4 and has stayed on the chart for 20 consecutive weeks.
"Swim" also ranked 12th on the "Global 200," which aggregates streaming and digital sales from over 200 countries and regions worldwide, and 4th on the "Global (Excl. US)" chart. On the "Global (Excl. US)" chart, it has remained within the top 10 for 20 consecutive weeks.
"Normal," another track from the fifth studio album "Arirang," placed 24th on the "Global (Excl. US)" chart and 49th on the "Global 200." After the music video and Korean version of the track were released on July 17, it also entered the US radio chart "Pop Airplay" at number 40.
This week's "Global (Excl. US)" chart features six tracks from "Arirang," including "Swim" and "Normal," as well as "Body to Body," "2.0," "Hooligan," and "Aliens." "Dynamite," released in 2020, has also stayed on this chart for three consecutive weeks. BTS performed this song at the halftime show of the 2026 FIFA North and Central America World Cup final last month.
On the main album chart, the "Billboard 200," "Arirang" climbed one spot from the previous week to reach 14th place. This album previously topped the chart for three consecutive weeks, and has spent a cumulative 13 weeks within the top 10, the longest duration ever for a Korean artist album. In addition, it ranked 7th on "Top Album Sales," 11th on "Vinyl Albums," and 25th on "Top Streaming Albums."

The title track "I NEED U" from BTS's third mini album "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt.1" surpassed 500 million cumulative streams on Spotify as of August 8. Released in 2015, this song gave BTS their first-ever number one win on a terrestrial music broadcast.
