Heerim Consortium Selected as Preferred Bidder for Jeonbuk International Financial Center...KRW 600 Billion Project
Orion Asset Management Consortium Named Preferred Negotiation Partner
Heerim to Lead Architectural Design and Construction Management
Global architecture firm Heerim Architects & Planners announced on August 12 that the Orion Asset Management consortium, in which it participated, has been selected as the preferred negotiation partner for the financial town development project, including the Jeonbuk International Financial Center (JIFC).
A total of four consortiums participated in this bid, competing for the award, and the Orion Asset Management consortium was selected as the top candidate. The consortium’s fundraising capability and project timeline—which aligns with the goal of completing construction by 2030—were highly rated. Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province plans to finalize an official Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the consortium within this year, followed by detailed design and administrative procedures, with construction scheduled to begin next year.
The Orion Asset Management consortium includes Orion Asset Management as the lead, along with KB Securities and Truston Asset Management, among others. Heerim is participating as a shareholder in the consortium and will be responsible for the architectural design and construction management (CM).
The Jeonbuk International Financial Center development project is a large-scale initiative that will inject about KRW 600 billion in private capital, leveraging the government’s regional revitalization investment fund. The selected site is in the Manseong-dong area of Deokjin-gu, Jeonju, with completion targeted for 2030.
The complex will feature a 31-story prime office building for financial institutions and asset managers as its centerpiece, along with a 14-story SOHO office, a 13-story global brand hotel, and an international convention center with a total floor area of 7,285㎡. Designed to be a financial town that brings together financial and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions) functions, it is expected to become a landmark representing Jeonbuk.
