Autonomous Driving Software Company Rideflux Registers 100th Patent
148 Patent Applications, 100 Registrations Achieved
Widening the Gap in AI Autonomous Driving Technology
Rideflux, a company specializing in autonomous driving software, announced on August 12 that it has completed registration of its 100th patent and established a knowledge property (IP) barrier for AI-based autonomous driving technology aimed at the commercialization of Level 4 autonomous driving.
Rideflux has developed core technologies for autonomous driving software in-house, spanning perception and localization, decision-making and control, high-definition mapping, and remote operation. In particular, the company continues to secure patents focused on perception and decision-making algorithms, demonstrating a significant technological gap in the field of ‘Physical AI’, where AI learns and makes judgments in complex real-world road environments.

The company explained that automating manual labeling has significantly reduced both the cost and time required to build high-definition maps.
Building on its exclusive technological barriers, Rideflux is currently conducting ‘driverless permit-based’ autonomous driving pilot runs with no safety driver in the seat. The company has also performed paid autonomous freight transport between logistics bases in the cargo transportation sector. By 2027, Rideflux plans to gradually transition to ‘fully unmanned autonomous driving’.

Junghee Park, CEO of Rideflux, commented, “The core competitiveness of Level 4 autonomous driving software comes from advanced AI algorithms, high-quality physical data, and a robust IP portfolio that protects them. We will continue to rapidly secure intellectual property rights for ‘Physical AI’ technologies validated in real road environments, thereby building an even stronger technological entry barrier that latecomers will find difficult to imitate.”
