Aims to Become a Central Hub for Professional Local Finance Training
Personnel from Content and Infrastructure Sectors Join; Action-Oriented Task Force Launched
The Korea Local Finance Association (LOFA), led by Chairman Jeon Seonyong, has officially initiated the establishment of the "Local Finance Education Center," which will be responsible for training local finance professionals nationwide.

View original imageOn August 10, the association held the launch ceremony and kick-off meeting for the "Local Finance Education Center Promotion Team," attended by Chairman Jeon Seonyong, Head of Management Innovation Division An Byunghwa, and more than 20 other participants, according to a statement released on the 11th.
The promotion team is an action-focused task force (TF) that will take over the efforts started by the preparatory committee, which operated from November of last year to June of this year, and will carry out vital tasks for establishing the center. Members include personnel recommended by the Education Business Division, association headquarters, and each center.
At the meeting, participants shared the promotion team's operational plans, key tasks for each subcommittee, and step-by-step schedules. They also discussed strategies and action plans for the establishment of the center.
The team will pursue, in stages: ▲ the development of curricula and composition of expert instructors, ▲ the advancement of the Learning Management System (LMS), ▲ the construction of educational spaces and infrastructure, ▲ the organization and staffing structure, and ▲ the formulation of an establishment plan for the education center.
The association plans to complete the development of curricula and the formulation of the establishment plan in the second half of this year. In the first half of next year, it will build the educational space and operational infrastructure, aiming to open the center in July 2027.
