Korea Zinc announced on the 11th that it will begin accepting applications for the “2026 Metal Craftsman of the Year Award” to support the creative activities of domestic metal craft artists.

View original imageThe "Metal Craftsman of the Year Award" was established in 2013 to discover and support talented artists and promote the development of metal crafts in Korea. Since then, Korea Zinc has sponsored the event every year and has served as its direct host since 2023.
The contest is open to individual or team metal artists or jewelry artists of Korean nationality who are 45 years old or younger and have been actively producing works for the past 10 years.
Applications will be accepted for five days from September 4 to September 8. Korea Zinc plans to select two finalists through document review and interviews by October. Each winner will be awarded a prize of 10 million won and an exhibition opportunity.
The winners’ exhibition will be held at Yeol in Jongno-gu, Seoul, from December 1 to 6, concurrent with the award ceremony. Admission will be free and open to the public.
