Kolon Life Science Earns EcoVadis Gold Medal, Ranks in Top 3%
Total Score of 84... Upgraded from Silver Medal Last Year
High Ratings in Key Areas Including Environment, Ethics, Labor, and Human Rights
Kolon Life Science announced on August 11 that it had received a Gold Medal in the EcoVadis sustainability assessment, conducted by the global sustainability rating agency EcoVadis.
Kolon Life Science scored a total of 84 points in this assessment, ranking within the top 3% of all companies evaluated. Just one year after receiving a Silver Medal, the company’s rating has been elevated to Gold.
EcoVadis assesses companies' sustainability management levels based on four categories: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
Kolon Life Science received a score of 91 in the environment segment, 88 in ethics, and 81 in labor and human rights. The assessment covered key factors such as the company's environmental management policies and implementation systems, anti-corruption and compliance systems, and systems to protect employees’ safety and rights. In the sustainable procurement category, the company was assessed on its management system for applying ESG standards across its supply chain.
In particular, in the ethics category, the company’s compliance management system, based on last year’s acquisition of ISO 37001 (Anti-Bribery Management System) and ISO 37301 (Compliance Management System) certifications, was reflected in its score.
Last month, Kolon Life Science published its '2025 Sustainability Management Report', disclosing key initiatives such as carbon neutrality implementation plans, ESG management in the supply chain, sustainable procurement system, and the enhancement of compliance management.
