According to an announcement made on August 11, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Commission for Corporate Partnership will hold the 'K-COLLECTION with KCON LA 2026' (K-Collection) at the Los Angeles (LA) Convention Center in the United States for three days from August 14 to 16.

K-Collection is an overseas expansion support program that is linked with CJ ENM’s K-culture festival, KCON, providing domestic SMEs with local product promotion opportunities and buyer consultations. The initiative aims to utilize the global recognition of K-culture to introduce SME products to local consumers and to support the development of new overseas sales channels.

This year, 40 SMEs in the beauty, lifestyle, and food sectors are participating. More than half of them are joining K-Collection for the first time, thereby expanding opportunities for new SMEs to enter international markets.

During the event, a promotional fair combining product exhibitions, sales, and experience events will be held at Kentia Hall in the LA Convention Center. An export consultation session for local buyers will also be conducted, helping participating companies assess their potential in the North American market and develop new sales channels.

On August 14 and 15, business-to-business (B2B) export consultations focused on local buyers will be organized in collaboration with the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA). Even after the consultations, ongoing support will be provided to help discover new partners and facilitate follow-up business opportunities.

Efforts to expand online sales channels are also underway. Since August 7, the official K-Collection online store has been operating, supporting participating companies' online sales through monthly promotions, social media and K-pop community marketing, and influencer review content.

A representative from the Korea Commission for Corporate Partnership stated, "K-Collection is a project that turns K-culture’s global influence into opportunities for domestic SMEs to advance overseas. We will continue to discover competitive SMEs and connect them with local buyers and both online and offline markets to support their stable overseas expansion and strengthen competitiveness."
