ICTK Signs MOU with LIG D&A: "Cooperation on Defense Security Technology"

View original imageAccording to ICTK on August 11, this agreement was designed to deepen research on anti-tamper technologies applicable to weapon systems and enhance the overall security capabilities of the defense weapon supply chain, by combining the technological competencies and research resources of both companies. Anti-tamper is an essential technology that protects critical technologies and sensitive information embedded in weapon systems from threats such as unauthorized access, reverse engineering, illicit duplication, and forgery or falsification.
The two companies will jointly research and develop several areas: ▲foundational anti-tamper technology for defense (AT SoC), ▲applied anti-tamper technology for weapon systems (AT Solution), ▲verification and validation technologies for anti-tamper applications (AT V&V), and ▲security technologies for the defense weapon system supply chain. In particular, the companies plan to establish an advanced anti-tamper verification system that can be implemented from the design phase by combining LIG Defense & Aerospace’s unrivaled capabilities in weapon system development and validation, with ICTK’s VIA PUF™-based security chips and hardware root-of-trust (HRoT) technologies for physical anti-counterfeiting.
VIA PUF™, a core technology of ICTK, is a technology that generates a unique device ID and cryptographic keys by utilizing minute physical variations that occur during semiconductor manufacturing processes. ICTK is further advancing its quantum-secure chip technology by integrating this with post-quantum cryptography (PQC). Applying this technology to weapon systems is expected to meet key defense security requirements such as component authentication, cryptographic key protection, firmware integrity verification, and prevention of unauthorized duplication.
