The Baegunsan Training Center at Gwangyang Steel Works is bustling with vacationers seeking relief from the heat.
The training center, which opened on July 25, is being operated free of charge for employees of POSCO, its affiliates, partner companies, and local residents.

View original imageDuring the summer season, the center features an outdoor swimming pool, slides, a viewing deck, and a campsite, offering visitors a variety of activities to enjoy. In particular, the viewing deck is equipped with sunbeds and tents, allowing guests to relax while taking in the scenery of Baegunsan Mountain.
Additionally, various participatory events are organized, such as water balloon catching and a family yutnori (traditional Korean board game) contest. From 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., outdoor movies are screened, giving guests the chance to make a diverse array of memories.

Guests can use a free shuttle bus that runs between the Kumho-dong residential complex, Baegun Shopping Center, and Steel Works Hall. To ease traffic congestion for those arriving by personal vehicles, a two-phase entry system is implemented starting at 7:00 a.m. The center is scheduled to operate until August 17 (Monday).
