Actor Kim Ji-won responded with a donation after hearing the stories of children she met on the drama set.
Seoul National University Children’s Hospital announced on August 10 that Kim Ji-won donated 100 million won to support the ward environment improvement project and medical expenses for patients from low-income families. Kim Ji-won explained her motivation, stating, "While filming the drama 'Doctor X', I encountered firsthand the struggles of medical staff and the stories of sick children, which led me to make this donation."
The donation will be used for children with severe, rare, and intractable diseases and their families who come to the hospital from all over the country. It is intended to help reduce the burden of medical expenses and to provide treatment in a safer and more comfortable environment.
