This review went beyond simple performance checks and examined differences between the original plan and actual results, the process of responding to changes in market conditions, and areas of underperformance including their causes. The purpose was to incorporate these findings into management strategies for the second half of the year and for the next year.
On this day, Chairman Chanwoo Lee held discussions with the CEOs of subsidiaries about each business division's profit structures, risk factors, and the use of capital and liquidity. In particular, they discussed concrete measures to strengthen the group's sustainable earnings base, including: ▲ strengthening core profit sources of the banking sector, ▲ responding to market volatility in the non-banking sector, ▲ managing insurance companies’ profitability and soundness, and ▲ strategically utilizing surplus funds within the group.
Additionally, the group clarified its 'One-Firm' approach, detailing how capital will be efficiently allocated across the group and how collaboration among affiliates will be strengthened in areas such as corporate financing and expanding the customer base.
NH NongHyup Financial Group stated that this meeting will serve as an opportunity to further advance its management system, which involves formulating plans, executing them, conducting reviews, and refining strategies. The holding company and subsidiary CEOs will continue to build a management culture in which key issues are discussed and addressed together.
Chairman Chanwoo Lee remarked, “Management plans are not something to be established once and left unchanged; they must be constantly revisited and revised in response to environmental changes.” He emphasized, “We must not only enhance the competitiveness of each subsidiary but also connect the group’s capital, customers, and business capabilities from a One-Firm perspective to produce real results.”
