Ohnul ENM Signs 7.4 Billion Won Base Station Antenna Contract with KT
Ohnul ENM, a KOSDAQ-listed company, has signed a contract with KT to supply base station antennas for mobile communications, valued at 7.41 billion won. Since the commercialization of 5G, this marks the largest order value for a single supply contract to date.
Ohnul ENM announced that it signed the contract after being selected as the top supplier in KT's tender for mobile communication base station antennas. The contract amount is 7,410,950,000 won, and the contract period runs for one year, from August 2026 to July 2027.
This order is equivalent to 44.39% of Ohnul ENM's consolidated revenue for the previous year, which was 16,694,000,000 won. The company expects the contract to have a significant impact on its performance, given that a single order accounts for nearly half of its annual sales.
In particular, the company emphasized the significance of this contract as Ohnul ENM, which has maintained growth mainly in overseas markets, has now secured a major order in the domestic mobile communications market. Until now, the company has expanded its small cell and base station antenna business primarily in the North American market.
In the first quarter of this year, Ohnul ENM recorded consolidated sales of 5,120,000,000 won, representing a 69% increase compared to the same period last year. Over the same period, its operating loss was reduced by 64%, indicating an improvement in profitability.
With the KT supply contract reflected in revenue from August, expectations are rising for a further improvement in performance in the second half of the year. The combination of expanding antenna sales in the North American market and a large-scale domestic supply contract is likely to accelerate the pace of annual performance improvement.
An Ohnul ENM official stated, "Following a successful quantum leap in the North American market in the first quarter, we have achieved the largest order to date in Korea, amounting to 44.4% of recent sales. With the robust growth of the North American venue antenna market and substantial domestic orders, we anticipate a significant increase in sales and operating profit in the second half and at year-end, leading to a full-fledged turnaround in performance."
The company is also strengthening its growth foundation in North America. In the first quarter of this year, Ohnul ENM supplied small cell antennas to AT&T, the largest telecommunications provider in North America, and is expanding its overseas business through a partnership with U.S. infrastructure company Crown Castle.
The company plans to leverage its supply references in North America to further penetrate the venue antenna market while also expanding additional orders in the domestic mobile communications market.
