Barun Law LLC is organizing a forum to discuss regulatory response strategies related to hospital artificial intelligence (AI) transformation.
Barun Law LLC (Managing Partners Lee Donghoon, Lee Younghee, and Kim Dohyung) announced on August 10 that it will hold the "1st AI Innovation Leaders Forum – Hospital AI Transformation and Leap: From Data and Governance to Clinical Solutions" on September 8 at the Melon Hall, 5th floor, Annex of the El Tower in Yangjae-dong, Seoul. The forum will be co-hosted by Barun Law LLC and Galeb & Company, with the Korea Health Information Service, AI Nation, and Jungwon NSIS serving as collaborative partners.
Barun Law LLC explained that for hospitals to successfully transition to AI, a comprehensive response is necessary—not only to AI regulations, but also to digital healthcare product and medical device regulations, personal information protection, medical data utilization, medical law, and a range of legal and institutional issues.
The forum will feature three sessions, focusing on data and governance, regulatory response, and clinical solution validation. Professor Yang Gwangmo, Director of the AI Research Center at Samsung Medical Center, and Attorney Ahn Juhyun of Barun Law LLC will present on hospital AI governance and responding to domestic AI regulations. Baek Giwon, Director of Innovation Center at Galeb & Company, and Lee Sera, Team Leader at AI Nation, will introduce strategies for hospital artificial intelligence transformation (AX) and share cases of jointly developed AI solutions at medical institutions.
The panel discussion will be chaired by Lee Junhee, Head of the Corporate Strategy Research Institute at Barun Law LLC. Participants include Kim Kyungyun, Principal at AWS Healthcare; Min Kyuhong, Chief Information Strategy Officer of the Smart Hospital Team at Seoul St. Mary's Hospital; Lee Uigyu, Attorney at Barun Law LLC; and Han Eunjin, Advanced Practice Nurse at the Clinical Support Nursing Team at Severance Hospital.
