Big Bang to Release New Single "BiiiG" for 20th Anniversary, Their First in 4 Years and 4 Months
YG Entertainment announced on August 10 that the group Big Bang will release a new digital single, "BiiiG," on August 19 to mark their 20th anniversary since debut. This marks their first new release in 4 years and 4 months.
Big Bang will kick off their world tour on August 21, two days after the single's release, with the first concert in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. The group will hold a total of 33 concerts across 19 cities in North America, Europe, Oceania, and Asia.
The title "BiiiG" is a stylized take on the English word "BIG," which means "large," and is linked to the group's name, "BIGBANG." YG explained, "This is the song that most clearly reflects Big Bang today, as they celebrate their 20th anniversary."
This is Big Bang's first new single since they released "Still Life" in April 2022, approximately 4 years and 4 months ago. "Still Life" reached the top of domestic and global music charts without any promotional broadcast activities and won the Digital Song Division Main Award at the 37th Golden Disc Awards.
