Simmons Earns Dermatest’s Highest Grade for All Beautyrest Products
N32 and Black Lines Followed by Top Grade for All Residential Products
Recognized as Low-Irritation in Patch Test for Atopic Skin Group
Simmons announced on August 10 that its entire premium mattress collection, "Beautyrest," has received the highest "Excellent" grade from Germany’s Dermatest.
Previously, in August of last year, Simmons obtained Dermatest’s Excellent grade for all products in its premium vegan mattress line "N32." In February of this year, the company achieved the same certification for all products in its top-tier line, "Beautyrest Black."
With this latest certification, Simmons has established a sleep environment where consumers can use its mattresses with greater peace of mind, having achieved skin safety recognition across its entire range of residential mattresses.
Dermatest grants its certification mark only to products that meet all requirements after being rigorously tested by a team of dermatologists, biologists, and food chemists, who evaluate whether products that come into contact with the skin cause irritation or are safe to use.
In particular, Simmons was recognized for being a low-irritation product through a patch test conducted on the "atopic skin group," which applies one of the strictest standards even among sensitive skin types.
A Simmons representative stated, “Because mattresses are daily life essentials that come into direct contact with the skin for seven to eight hours a day, it is extremely important to ensure both comfort and skin safety. Simmons will continue efforts to provide consumers with a healthy and comfortable sleep environment.”
