Zero Base: "87% of Subscribers Are Experienced Professionals... Rising Demand for Career Transitions"
Increasing Influx of Mid-to-Senior Level Professionals
Zero Base, the employment information company under Day1Company, announced on August 10 that experienced professionals accounted for 87% of all subscribers to its services last month.
According to Zero Base's subscriber data, the focus of job seekers is rapidly shifting from entry-level positions to experienced hires. The proportion of experienced professionals among Zero Base’s subscribers increased from 72% in April to 87% last month, just four months later. As more office workers prepare for job changes and career transitions, the demand for employment training is also expanding beyond entry-level to include junior and mid-to-senior experienced professionals.
The trend goes beyond the mere increase of experienced subscribers, with notable growth among mid-to-senior level employees. The percentage of subscribers with seven or more years of experience, which averaged 3% in the first quarter, surged to 23% in April and reached 26% last month. Additionally, those with over three years of experience represented 60% of all subscribers last month. This indicates that even professionals with a considerable amount of practical experience are increasingly seeking specialized employment support services for career changes and transitions.
Interest in employment-related events is also rising. From May to July, Zero Base’s online employment fair averaged 6,206 applicants per month, a 40.4% increase compared to a monthly average of 4,419 in the first quarter of this year. With the fall recruitment season approaching, the company explained that job seekers remain highly interested in practical employment information and company-specific job openings. The number of applications for in-person consultations via Zero Base surpassed a cumulative total of 5,500.
Zero Base plans to further strengthen its employment support programs for the second half of the year in response to the recently confirmed surge in demand among experienced professionals. Looking forward, the company intends to refine its programs to provide tailored employment strategies for entry-level, junior, and mid-to-senior employees, depending on each stage of their career. Utilizing demand captured through various service channels, including subscriptions, employment fairs, and in-person consultations, Zero Base aims to build a comprehensive support system that covers job preparation, career changes, and career transitions.
