Fn Guide Appoints Taewoo Kim, Former MSCI, as New Head of Index Business Division
Financial information provider Fn Guide has appointed Taewoo Kim, formerly of Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI), as the new Head of its Index Business Division.
According to Fn Guide on August 10, Kim is a financial and index expert with approximately 20 years of experience in the finance and information technology (IT) sectors. He graduated from Korea University's Department of Computer Science and earned an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management in the United States. He previously worked at Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance's Asset Management Division, where he oversaw domestic equity management, venture capital investments, and asset allocation.
Kim then spent around 10 years at MSCI, where he led sales for Korean index business, ESG and climate change, risk analytics, and alternative asset solutions, driving the expansion of its domestic operations. He also participated in the development and launch of a variety of ETF and ETN products based on domestic and international market representative, thematic, and ESG indices.
