Genesis BBQ Group announced on August 10 that it has opened its first store in Mexico City, the capital of Mexico, signaling a full-scale entry into the local market.
BBQ recently opened its first Mexico City location, 'BBQ Zona Rosa,' in the Zona Rosa area. This store is adjacent to Paseo de la Reforma, the main boulevard of Mexico City, and is situated among hotels, restaurants, cafes, and shopping facilities. The BBQ Zona Rosa store has a total area of 338 square meters and offers 115 seats across two floors and a terrace.

View original imageThe menu features a total of 12 types of chicken, including 'Golden Fried Chicken,' 'Classic Fried,' and 'Cheesling,' available as individual items and combo meals. In addition to chicken, the store serves two types of tteokbokki—original and rosé—as well as kimchi fried rice, rice bowls, fried chicken salad bowls, two types of chicken burgers, and hot dogs. Desserts include mini financiers, chewy cookies, and mini tiramisu. Approximately 20 types of Korean and Mexican alcoholic beverages and drinks are also available.
BBQ has already expanded into Latin American countries such as Panama, Costa Rica, the Bahamas, and Colombia. With the opening of the first Mexico City store, BBQ now operates a total of 20 stores in the Latin American region.
Starting with the first Mexico City location, BBQ plans to strengthen its business foundation by expanding stores into major cities throughout Mexico. The company is also preparing to open a second location in Monterrey, in northern Mexico, at the end of this month.
